Jake Paul has made an offer
Angela Carini suffered defeat against Imane Khelif at the Olympic Games and Jake Paul has reached out.
Carini called an end to the bout after just 46 seconds against the Algerian after being rocked by two punches but Khelif’s win was clouded in controversy.
The controversy stems from a failed gender eligibility test in 2023 which has generated widespread backlash following the dominant victory.
Carini reportedly suffered a broken nose and added in her post-bout interview the withdrawal was a result of the injury and nothing else.
She said: “I put an end to the match because after the second blow, after years of experience in the ring and a life of fighting, I felt a strong pain in my nose.
“I said ‘that’s enough’ because… I could not bring the match to an end. So I thought, maybe it’s better to put an end to the match.”
Khelif – who has been defeated nine times in her career – will face Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori in the next round.

Amid the backlash on social media, YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul weighed in on the debate and labelled the bout ‘sickening’.
Paul is scheduled to face Mike Tyson on November 15 and as co-owner of his own promotion, Most Valuable Promotions, sent an offer to Carini following the defeat.
He wrote on X: “This is sickening. This is a travesty.
“Doesn’t matter what you believe. This is wrong and dangerous.
“To Angela Carini although your dreams couldn’t come true today because of the crazy agendas that are at play in our world at the moment, I would love to offer you to fight on an MVP undercard, to show the world your talents on a fair platform and not against a man.
“Internet help this find her.”

If Paul makes good on his offer to the Italian, it would be her professional debut. Her amateur record stands at 84-23 with four knockout victories.
The 25-year-old refused to shake hands in the ring afterwards and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) were forced to release a statement following the victory, maintaining all boxers featuring in the Games were eligible to compete.

At the time, IBA president Umar Kremlev told Russian news agency TASS that Khelif had “XY chromosomes”, according to a report from Reuters.
