The festive spirit continues at Berlin Zoo even after the holiday as the animals delight in leftover Christmas trees.
Recently, the zoo hosted a special event where elephants and bison relished munching on branches and playing with the trees in their enclosures. Reindeer also joined in, exploring and interacting with the conifers.
To ensure the safety of the animals, only fresh, unsold trees from specific vendors are accepted, as public trees may contain harmful chemicals or decorations.
An Asian elephant was spotted joyfully playing with one of the trees during the traditional Christmas tree-feeding event at Berlin Zoo.
This novel addition to the menu for the animals brought a festive surprise, marking the beginning of the eagerly anticipated annual event that brings joy to the animals.
