Lennon and Ringo, a pair of kittens that were rescued, have formed an unbreakable bond as best friends. Lennon, the ginger kitten who is around six weeks old, was discovered on what would have been The Beatles’ star John Lennon’s 80th birthday. Rescuers found him on John Lennon Drive in Liverpool and named him after the legendary musician. After being taken in by the RSPCA Wirral and Chester branch, Lennon found a companion in another rescued kitten, a three-week-old black and white furball. This tiny kitten was named Ringo Starr, as he had been hand-reared by the staff after being rejected by his mother at birth.
The staff noticed how well Lennon and Ringo got along, with Lennon taking on the role of an older brother for Ringo. They would play and snuggle together, forming a heartwarming friendship. The staff at the branch decided to name the younger kitten Ringo to match the duo’s dynamic. Both kittens are thriving under the care of the staff, and there is hope that they will find a loving forever home together.
