Yara, also known as Yara the One-Eyed Cat, has a unique charm with her permanent “wink” due to being born with just one eye. Her journey began when she was discovered in a box of Christmas decorations and taken to the veterinarian’s office at a tender age of 4-6 weeks.
The kind-hearted souls who brought her in decided not to take her back, so Yara stayed at the vet for a week or two. The vet team ran some tests to confirm her health and surprisingly found out that she had been born without one eye. According to Matty, who shared this heartwarming story with Love Meow, Yara was an absolute sweetheart during her stay at the vet, showing a bit of sass when they needed to conduct some blood tests.
During her time at the vet, one of the staff members gave Yara a stuffed animal to snuggle with, and she immediately cozied up to it, drifting off to sleep peacefully. This adorable gesture showed just how loving and affectionate Yara truly is, despite her unique appearance.
