On one of the biggest party nights of the year, Nicki Minaj clearly wanted to make a splash with her outfit.

And the 30-year-old outrageous star didn’t disappoint as she stepped out in Las Vegas sporting a very low cut gold mini dress with matching glittery platform heels.

A blonde curly wig, chunky gold jewellery and Minaj’s trademark heavy make-up completed the look.

The star was hosting the New Year’s Eve celebration at Pure Nightclub – for which she was rumoured to be commanding a $5million fee.

In a post before the bash, PURE’s website stated: ‘The rapper, songwriter and television personality will throw a boisterous party as she leads the countdown to midnight and celebrates with partygoers at Las Vegas’ top mega-club.’

The New Year’s Eve celebration marked the culmination of a big year for the rapper and singer who recently starred in a three-part fly-on-the-wall documentary series.

She was also appointed a judge on hit show American Idol for which she is expected to earn between $8 to $12 million.

Her debut alongside Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson will air on January 16 when the first audition show airs on U.S. network Fox.

‘They’re very long days and that’s the biggest thing I didn’t really expect,’ she recently said about her experience on Idol.

‘I’m used to being able to handle my business at any time, and when it’s American Idol, sometimes we’re in one place for eight hours judging people and I can’t go to my Blackberry every five minutes like I’m used to.

‘So that kind of slows my business down and that is something that I never could have foreseen. But, as a whole, I love the experience that I’m getting.’
