A three-year-old elephant named Nandi is running alongside her mother at Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona, when she notices a large rubber ball, and her ears perk up with exсіtement.
Nandi runs up to the ball, places her large front feet on top, and finds her balance. As she steadies herself on the ball, she throws her snout into the air, revealing what looks like a smile.
Nandi, an African elephant born in August 2014 at Reid Park Zoo, lives there with her mom, Semba, and dad, Mabu. The zoo estimates she weighs between 250 and 300 pounds.
In the Zulu language, Nandi means ‘sweet’ or ‘fun,’ and she certainly lives up to her name.
