The Mike Tyson–Jake Paul fight has a new date. Their bout was initially scheduled for July 20 at Arlington, Texas’ AT&T Stadium. However, last month, a medical emergency situation eventually led to the eighth-round professionally sanctioned match being rescheduled. The whole episode had millions of fans worried. The boxing great now appears to be on the road to recovery. In fact, he shared a fresh update with fans through an Instagram post.
He spoke about a tie-up with a sauna firm and announced a bonus takeaway as well. There are no prizes for guessing the kind of response a Mike Tyson post would attract. But among the hundreds of comments, there was one in particular that might have caught the attention of a few. What was so special about it? Well, it was from the former heavyweight champion’s tennis-playing daughter, Milan Tyson. Okay, so she must have congratulated her father on his new business partnership? Nope. Instead, she spoke about the kind of physique her father, a 57-year-old man, could still flaunt with ease.
“Casually has a 6-pack at 57,” wrote Milan Tyson. The first three of the post’s four slides feature ‘Iron’ Mike in the sauna. The last one, a short clip, shows him, on the count of three, stepping out of the sauna room. Outside, an assistant hands over a towel for wiping off.
No wonder, many fans echoed sentiments similar to those expressed by Milan Tyson. For instance, while one said, “Bro looks like he never stopped fighting,” another remarked, “Iron doesn’t melt at these temperatures.” One fan even went to the extent of saying that Jake Paul will lose when they finally meet in November.
“Hey guys, I’ve teamed up with @sunhomesaunas to give one of my followers the same sauna and cold plunge I use for training,” said Mike Tyson. His message further explained how sauna helps tackle inflammation and aid in muscle recovery. While highlighting the benefits of saunas, the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history shared that he eagerly anticipated hearing something from the winner of the giveaway.

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul: Which side of the fence are you on?
No doubt, ‘Iron’ Mike remains fit as a fiddle despite his fifty-seven years. There’s no question that between him and Jake Paul, Mike Tyson enjoys the upper hand when it comes to sheer boxing skills. But then, age and time eventually take a toll on a man’s fighting skills. When asked by Mike Majlak and Logan Paul during their recent meeting, former President of the United States Donald Trump said, “Look, Mike was fantastic, but you know Mike’s a little older… I said, you know, it’s so amazing because I always thought like a UFC guy or a top you know even contender would be able to win at 75 years old….but it doesn’t work that way; yeah, the clock is still the clock.”
Check out the ring activity! Even if one considers an exhibition fight, remember that Mike Tyson entered the ring four years ago when he took on Roy Jones Jr. On the other hand, despite questions about the kind of opponents he faced, ‘The Problem Child’ has been through three fights since August last year.
The arguments for and against the match may continue for some time. However, many fans won’t hesitate to highlight. Jake Paul should remember that he will be facing one of the deadliest hitters in the history of combat sports. The match between the two has eight rounds of two minutes each. Hence, the short time span might as well give ‘Iron’ Mike an advantage to attack on spurts and gain an early stoppage.
