Social media was rocked this week by rumours that hip-hop billionaire Rick Ross had lost control of his private jet close to Dallas.
When images of the purported cra sh became popular online on Friday, the 48-year-old rapper and record mogul felt compe lled to address the matter.
After Ross performed on Thursday, May 2, at The Garden Restaurant & Bar in Dallas, he thanked everyone on Instagram for their well-wishes and expressed concern for his safety.
The “Hustlin” rapper went on to explain that he witnessed a fighter jet shoot at his private plane, forcing him to make an em ergency landing. Ross said that Drake, the 37-year-old rapper he had broken up with recently, owned the fighter plane.
However, officials from the Federal Aviation Administration stressed on Thursday, May 2, that the aircraft had only just touched down at Arlington Municipal Airport when it became trapped in the grass.
The Federal Aviation Administration released a statement saying that “a Gulfstream G-5 business jet’s left main gear got stuck in the grass while taxiing after landing at Arlington Municipal Airport in Texas around 6:30 p.m.”
