These three felines, Violet, Panda, and Eve, were part of a TNR effort when a kind-hearted neighbor stepped in to assist the cats. Due to their unique condition, MPS, they were in need of special care and attention. Alley Cat Rescue stepped in to give them a second chance at a more comfortable life, acknowledging that they would have faced challenges as outdoor cats.
From the start, Violet and Panda displayed a strong bond, sticking close together under furniture and venturing out only in pairs.
Elaine, a kind-hearted volunteer, decided to bring the kittens home to take care of them. Her goal was to help them recover and get them used to being around people until she could find them a loving family willing to care for special needs cats.
“These kittens have the bodies of newborns, so they are delicate and not fully grown,” Elaine shared with Love Meow.
Elaine observed that although Violet and Panda may not exhibit typical cat behavior like meowing or jumping, they happily waddle or scoot around, enjoy playing, and have hearty appetites. Their strong bond is truly remarkable and a joy to witness. They have an inseparable connection and are always on the lookout for one another, ensuring they are never apart for long.
Elaine shared that their four cats and two dogs are often overlooked by others, although their cat Violet doesn’t hesitate to show some attitude with an occasional hiss. Even though they have special needs, the two cats are brimming with unique personalities and spunk.
Elaine loves nothing more than when her furry companions curl up in her lap for a peaceful nap. She cherishes the moments when she can cradle and shower them with affection, treating them like precious little cuddly bears. “In my eyes, they are simply the most endearing, lovable creatures on this earth,” Elaine shared with Love Meow.
Check out the heartwarming story of these rescued kittens with dwarfism in the video linked below. In the footage, you can see how Violet eagerly joins in for some cuddles whenever Panda is receiving affection from their caregiver. It’s clear that she doesn’t want to miss out on any love and attention!
After a couple of weeks caring for the foster kitties, Elaine had a revelation – these little furballs weren’t just temporary guests. They had not only found a loving family but also a forever home. It seemed like the kitties had known it all along.
Elaine shared that the brother and sister pair are really enjoying the new cat tree they received.
