Last Saturday (6), a group of Maltese dog owners decided to organize a “carnival” party for their pets in Teresina (PI). The idea was not to let the Carnival go unnoticed.
In total, 9 dogs took part in the festivities, including lots of treats, games and a dress-up ‘dog course’.
Thanks to a group on social networks, the tutors met and had the idea of getting together. One of the participants is civil engineer Anária Correia, who brought her 7-year-old dog Clarita to the party.
“At first she was very shy because she generally doesn’t have contact with other dogs. But, little by little, Clarita began to socialize and let loose. She loved the dance, especially the food, there was cake, ‘cãopcakes’, ‘cãoxinha’, snacks, cookies, everything they love,” she commented.
The ‘Carnival dance’ took place in a dog hotel in the capital of Piauí. “The objective of the event was to socialize our pets, which is very important for their development. It was a suitable place for them, with a large open space and with all the security measures so that the protocol was followed,” Anária said.
“The first meeting of our pets was at Christmas, where a social action was held. We collected 430 kg of food that was donated to the São Lázaro shelter. We intend to do many more actions to help other animals,” he concluded.
