This story will forever be in my heart because its protagonist moved me since I saw it. Her name is Ava and she is a dog who suffered the terrible consequences of abuse and abandonment.

She was the victim of cruel and excessive violence, they beat her with a wooden stick and left her to rot while she was alive, poor thing she couldn’t move a finger. One day the organization Lets Adopt International received a call for help. A woman had seen her neighbor’s dog and was horrified, begging for help.

It’s heartbreaking! Seeing her suffer like this, it’s hard to hold back the tears after seeing the images of Ava, how could they let her get to those conditions?

She had been suffering for two years from the consequences of the beatings she received at the hands of someone heartless.

There were too many months of pain, with her face swollen, with an infection destroying her bones, her muscles,… how much pain Ava was in, every day was a challenge for her.

When they went to her house to rescue her, her owners handed her over without any objection, of course, they did not want to continue having a dog that was stinking up her house with the bad smell of the wound.

They couldn’t say a word about her, they simply took her in her arms and took her to a health center where she was in intensive care.

She had had a chronic infectious process for a long time, it was difficult to understand how she had been able to survive.

Many people were fighting for her life, she received blood transfusions, a CT scan was performed to evaluate the destruction of her face and skull. Regarding the owners of it, they have filed a complaint against them.

She had many tests done and unfortunately the results were not good, Ava had cancer and she was inoperable.

Ava’s nasal bone was completely malnourished, as were her turbinates, which were covered by a mass that invaded her entire nasal cavity.

She had advanced nasal chondrosarcoma.

Unfortunately, it was irreversible, it could not be operated on.

It was devastating for everyone to hear this news because there is always hope and confidence that we can give Ava the life she deserves.

Despite everything, they fought tirelessly to give her the best quality of life possible, but Ava could not survive.

She left an indelible mark in the hearts of her rescuers and those of us who knew her story.

We all mourn the loss of Ava, who will live forever in our memory as a brave and feisty dog, she is an angel who died unjustly due to the indifference of those cruel souls.
